Hinckley Lake Boathouse & Store rents canoes, single and tandem kayaks, rowboats, motorized rowboats, stand up paddleboards, paddleboats and pontoons. If you have your own watercraft, you can launch it from the boathouse public launch ramp.

Rivergate Kayak Tour

Wednesdays, July 23 and August 13 * 6 - 8 p.m.

Rivergate Park

Learn about Cleveland's rich history by kayak. Tour sections of the Cuyahoga River from Rivergate Park and hear stories about Cleveland's rich industrial history, including the Cuyahoga River fire. Boat traffic will dictate the direction of the tour. Previous paddling experience is highly recommended. This program is for adults and children ages 14 and older with participating adults. Registration and $35 fee (per person) are required. Rivergate Park is located at 1785 Merwin Ave. (off Columbus Road in the heart of the Flats).

Huntington Beach ∙ Huntington Reservation

Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is a great way to have fun and get a little daily workout. Learn basic paddle strokes and how to stand on the board. Lake Erie water conditions will dictate the specific skills taught. Anticipate spending time in the water. You must be comfortable treading water in a lifejacket. This program is for adults and children ages 10 and older with a participating adult. Registration and fee ($15 for youth ages 10 - 15/$30 for adults and teens ages 16 and older) are required. Huntington Beach is located off Lake Road in Huntington Reservation in Bay Village. Hinckley Lake Boathouse is located off West Drive in Hinckley Reservation, between Bellus and State roads in Hinckley Township.
