Visitors take a wagon ride to the Woodland Center to witness the entire maple process as sap is collected, boiled, and turned into maple syrup and other products. Discover how trees are tapped and see the network of tubing that connects the 1,000 taps that provide sap for the Farmpark's maple syrup production. Sample maple syrup & candy, make a maple craft, help gather sap and learn how to make maple syrup in your own backyard!

Farmpark's own maple syrup and other maple items will be available for sale in the Woodland Center and Gift Shop. Pancakes served all day in the J & J Cafe. $7 ages 12 and older; $4, ages 2 to 11. No reservations. Farmpark admission applies.

The Akron Zoo will host Creature Feature each Saturday in February from noon-2 p.m. Each Saturday during the month a different animal group will be featured. A special display with the zoo's education animal ambassadors will be set-up for visitors to get an up-close experience.

The animal displays will be held indoor in the zoo's Komodo Kingdom Education Center. On February 7 bugs will be featured, followed by reptiles on February 14 and then birds on February 21 and finally mammals on February 28.
